What is Rasburicase injection?
RASBURICASE (Elitek) works to lower high levels of uric acid in the blood. High levels of uric acid often occur after chemotherapy for certain types of cancer, like leukemia or lymphoma. Rasburicase helps prevent or treat high levels of uric acid during cancer treatments. Generic rasburicase injection is not yet available.

How should this medicine be used?
Rasburicase is for infusion into a vein. A health-care professional will give this drug to you in a hospital or clinic setting.

What if I miss a dose?
This does not apply. Your health care professional will watch your uric acid levels and give this treatment, usually once a day, for the amount of time needed.
