Ephedra in Ephedra sinica
may interact with CAFFEINE in Caffeine Solution
Ephedra has been banned by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. It should not be taken for any reason. In previous studies, however, the combination of caffeine and ephedra was associated with side effects such as diarrhea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, irritability, loss of appetite, nausea, nervousness, shakiness, and vomiting. Side effects that are more serious may include fainting, seizures, and possibly serious changes in heart rhythm. Ephedra should not be taken - especially with caffeine, which includes caffeine in coffee, tea, and cola drinks.
