LITHIUM in Lithium may interact with CAPTOPRIL in Captopril
Although the cause of this potential interaction is not fully understood, captopril may increase blood levels of lithium. If this happens, serious side effects may occur including diarrhea, nausea and vomiting, irritability, difficulty concentrating, muscle weakness, drowsiness, and tremors. If lithium and captopril are used together, your doctor may want to closely monitor your lithium blood levels. You may also be advised to watch for these and other side effects. Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems.
