CYCLOSPORINE in Neoral Injection may interact with DILTIAZEM in Cardizem Injection
Diltiazem may block the breakdown of cyclosporine by the liver. If this happens, blood levels of cyclosporine could be increased. This could cause an increase in serious side effects, including damage to the kidneys. If diltiazem and cyclosporine are used together, you doctor may want to monitor you closely when therapy with diltiazem is either started or stopped to make sure that you are not getting too much cyclosporine. You may also need to be examined to see if your kidneys are functioning properly. If you are experiencing problems, it may be necessary to adjust the dose of cyclosporine. Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems.

This interaction is well-documented and is considered moderate in severity.
