Stevia in Yerba Dulce may interact with DILTIAZEM in Cardizem Injection
Calcium is essential for muscle cells to contract. Certain drugs reduce blood pressure by interfering with the way that heart cells use calcium. Stevia contains substances that also may interfere slightly with calcium use. If it is taken at the same time as a calcium-blocking drug, such as diltiazem, blood pressure may become too low. Signs of low blood pressure may not be apparent; but fainting, dizziness, confusion, headache, and an irregular heartbeat could be signs that blood pressure is too low. In general, stevia should not be taken at the same time as diltiazem. You may want to ask your healthcare provider about this potential interaction if you think you are having problems.

This interaction is well-documented and is considered minor in severity.
