Tryptophan in L-tryptophan may interact with Catnip in Catmint
Currently, tryptophan is not recommended for use as a dietary supplement. Both tryptophan and catnip contain substances that may promote sedation. If they are used together, excessive drowsiness, slowed breathing, loss of muscle control, and even coma may result. Tryptophan and catnip should not be taken - especially at the same time as catnip. If they are used together and sedation increases to an unsafe level, either tryptophan or catnip or both may need to be stopped. You may want to ask your healthcare provider about this potential interaction if you think you are having problems.

This interaction is well-documented and is considered minor in severity.
