1 interaction was found for the drugs you selected.

LITHIUM in Lithium may interact with DOXEPIN HYDROCHLORIDE in Adapin
Both lithium and doxepin have an effect on the central nervous system (CNS). Although the cause of this potential interaction is not fully understood, the risk of experiencing side effects involving the nervous system may be increased when these drugs are used at the same time. This may include feelings of sluggishness or fatigue, muscle weakness, shaking, a loss of coordination, and exaggerated reflex reactions. Other potential side effects include nervousness, excitability, disorganized thinking, and an inability to pay attention. Your doctor may want to monitor you closely when lithium and doxepin are taken together. Blood tests can be used to make sure that you are getting the right amount of lithium. If you are experiencing problems, it may be necessary to adjust the dose of lithium or to stop therapy with either drug. Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems.

This interaction is poorly documented and is considered moderate in severity.
