AMPHETAMINE in Adderall may interact with POTASSIUM CITRATE in Citric Acid and Potassium Citrate Oral Solution
Potassium citrate may prevent amphetamine from being removed from the body in the urine. If this happens, blood levels of amphetamine could be increased. This could cause an increase in potentially dangerous side effect including irritability and depression, an increase in blood pressure, a rapid heart beat, and an abnormal heart rhythm. Potassium citrate and amphetamine should generally not be used together. Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems.
