American Ginseng in Ginseng, American may interact with AMPHETAMINE in Adderall
Both amphetamine and American ginseng increase activity in the central nervous system (CNS). Stimulating the CNS may increase mental alertness and possibly physical performance, temporarily. However, too much CNS activity may increase the risk of unwanted effects, such as anger, confusion, insomnia, nausea, and restlessness. More serious results may include increased heart rate and high blood pressure. In general, American ginseng should not be taken at the same time as amphetamine. Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems.

This interaction is poorly documented and is considered moderate in severity.
