CARVEDILOL in Coreg may interact with CITALOPRAM in Celexa
Citalopram may increase the effect that carvedilol has on the heart by inhibiting the breakdown of carvedilol by the liver. This could cause increased blood levels of carvedilol and the heart may beat at a slower rate than normal. Symptoms of this condition include dizziness, chest pain, and fainting. If citalopram and carvedilol are taken together, your doctor may want to monitor you closely to make sure that your heart is functioning properly. If you are experiencing problems, your doctor may consider using an alternative to carvedilol. Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems.

This interaction is poorly documented and is considered moderate in severity.
