IBUPROFEN in Children's Motrin chewable may interact with ALENDRONATE in Fosamax
Alendronate and ibuprofen can both irritate the stomach. When they are taken at the same time, the risk of developing an ulcer may be increased. Abdominal pain, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and unexpected weight loss are some of the signs of a possible stomach ulcer. Inform your doctor before taking alendronate at the same time that you are taking ibuprofen. Your doctor may want to check you more often if both drugs must be used at the same time. Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems.
