Panax Ginseng in Chinese Ginseng may interact with Kava-Kava in Tonga
Due to potentially serious side effects, kava should not be taken by mouth. However, kava contains chemicals that may reduce the blood's ability to form clots. In some reported cases, Panax ginseng may have increased blood clotting. If kava and Panax ginseng are taken together, blood clotting may become unpredictable. Potentially, clots may form or excessive bleeding may occur. In general, Panax ginseng and kava should not be taken together.
