Tryptophan in L-tryptophan
may interact with CHLORPROMAZINE in Chlorpromazine Intensol Concentrate
Currently, tryptophan is not recommended for use as a dietary supplement. Additionally, if tryptophan is taken with chlorpromazine, which belongs to a drug class known as phenothiazines, symptoms that resemble Parkinson's disease may result. Parkinson's-like symptoms may include trembling, muscle stiffness, and the inability to move quickly. Tryptophan should not be taken - especially when chlorpromazine is being taken.
