Chromium in Chromium Picolinate
may interact with OMEPRAZOLE in Prilosec OTC
Drugs, such as omeprazole, that reduce the acid content of the stomach may interfere with the absorption of chromium. The amounts of chromium in the body may be reduced. No serious side effects are thought to occur, but theoretically a chromium deficiency is possible. If chromium and omeprazole are both taken, as much time as possible - at least several hours - should be allowed between them.
You may want to ask your healthcare provider about this potential interaction if you think you are having problems.
