Known interactions between the following drugs: Cimetidine, Diazepam

1 interaction was found for the drugs you selected.

CIMETIDINE in Cimetidine may interact with DIAZEPAM in Diazepam
Cimetidine may block the breakdown of diazepam by the liver. If this happens, blood levels of diazepam can increase and this may cause intolerable or otherwise undesirable side effects. Potential side effects include excessive or prolonged drowsiness, impairment of judgement, and slowed reflexes. If diazepam and cimetidine are taken together, your doctor may want to monitor you closely. Let your doctor know if you notice an increase in these or other side effects. If you are experiencing problems, it may be necessary to adjust the dose of diazepam. You may want to ask your healthcare provider about this potential interaction if you think you are having problems.

This interaction is well-documented and is considered minor in severity.
