Known interactions between the following drugs: Cipro, Citrus Calcium
1 interaction was found for the drugs you selected.
CALCIUM SALTS in Citrus Calcium
may interact with CIPROFLOXACIN in Cipro
Calcium Acetate may decrease the absorption of ciprofloxacin by the body. Potentially less ciprofloxacin would be available for the body to use and ciprofloxacin could be less effective at fighting an infection. If possible, antacids that contain calcium acetate should not be taken while taking ciprofloxacin. If calcium acetate and ciprofloxacin must be taken together, calcium acetate should be taken at least 6 hours before or 2 hours after a dose of ciprofloxacin.
Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems.
