CISAPRIDE in Cisapride Suspension may interact with VORICONAZOLE in Vfend Injection
Cisapride is broken down by the liver. Vorconizole may prevent the breakdown of cisapride by the liver. This could result in an effect on electrical signals in the heart. These signals are responsible for making the heart beat at a regular rhythm. Altering the rhythm of the heartbeat may be dangerous or potentially life threatening. When vorconizole and cisapride are used together, the effect cisapride on the heart may be prolonged. Cisapride is not recommended for use by people who are taking vorconizole. Beginning in August 2000, cisapride is now only available on a limited basis to those patients who have a special need to use this drug. If your doctor feels that you should continue to use cisapride and you meet certain qualifications that have been recommended by the maker of cisapride, then you must be enrolled in this limited access program by your doctor. Ask your healthcare provider about these drugs and this potential interaction as soon as possible.

This interaction is poorly documented and is considered major in severity.
