CLOPIDOGREL in Clopidogrel may interact with SIMVASTATIN in Zocor
Simvastatin may interfere with how clopidogrel becomes activated in the body. If this happens, clopidogrel may not work as effectively. If these medications are taken together, your doctor may want to monitor you more closely to make sure the clopidogrel is working properly. Alternatively, your doctor may want to subsitute pravastatin, a drug in the same drug family as simvastatin, to lower your cholesterol since pravastatin does not interact with clopidogrel like simvastatin does. Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems.

This interaction is poorly documented and is considered moderate in severity.
