Antacids that contain magnesium may cause choline magnesium trisalicylate to be removed from the body at a faster rate than normal. As a result, the effects of magnesium trisalicylate may be decreased. If large doses of choline magnesium trisalicylate are used on a regular basis at the same time as an antacid that contains magnesium is taken, choline magnesium trisalicylate therapy may need to be monitored more closely -- especially if the antacid is either started or stopped. If problems occur, the dose of choline magnesium trisalicylate may need to be adjusted.
