ATORVASTATIN CALCIUM in Lipitor may interact with AMPRENAVIR in Agenerase
Atorvastatin is broken down in the body by the liver. Amprenavir may slow down the break down of atorvastatin which may result in more atorvastatin in the body. With more atorvastatin in the body, you may experience more side effects such as muscle pain, weakness or tenderness. If you experience any of these symptoms, you should call your doctor promptly. Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems.
