LEVOTHYROXINE in Levothyroxine may interact with AMPRENAVIR in Agenerase Oral Solution

Amprenavir may increase the blood levels of levothyroxine resulting in too much thyroid hormone in the body. Symptoms of too much thyroid hormone include thinning of the hair, intolerance to heat, increased sweating, heart palpitations, nervousness, weakness, and bulging eyelids. If amprenavir is taken with levothyroxine, your doctor should monitor your thyroid hormone levels more closely, especially when therapy with amprenavir is either started or stopped. Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems.
