ATORVASTATIN CALCIUM in Lipitor may interact with AMIODARONE HYDROCHLORIDE in Cordarone
Amiodarone may block the breakdown of atorvastatin by the liver. If this happens, blood levels of atorvastatin could be increased and this could increase its adverse effects; muscle pain or weakness. This potential interaction may continue for months after therapy with amiodarone has been stopped. Ask your healthcare provider about these drugs and this potential interaction as soon as possible.
