Melatonin in MEL may interact with
Agrimony in Agrimonia
Both melatonin and agrimony contain chemicals that may reduce the blood's ability to form clots. When taken together, they can increase the risk of dangerous bleeding. Individuals who take both supplemental melatonin and agrimony may need more frequent blood tests to make sure that blood is clotting properly. In addition, both melatonin and agrimony contain substances that may lower blood sugar levels. If they are used together, blood sugar levels may become too low and symptoms such as shakiness, sweating, confusion, and distorted speech, may result. In general, supplemental melatonin and agrimony should not be taken at the same time. If they are used together and bleeding is uncontrolled or blood sugar levels become too low, either supplemental melatonin or agrimony or both may need to be stopped.
