Known interactions between the following drugs: Damiana, Melatonin

1 interaction was found for the drugs you selected.

Melatonin in Melatonin may interact with Damiana in Damiana
Both supplemental melatonin and damiana may lower blood sugar levels. Theoretically, if they are taken together, blood sugar may become too low--a condition called hypoglycemia. Signs of blood sugar that is too low may include feeling weak or shaky, having a headache, or being confused or nervous. In general, supplemental melatonin and damiana should not be taken at the same time. If they are taken together and signs that blood sugar may be too low occur, then supplemental melatonin or damiana or both may need to be stopped. You may want to ask your healthcare provider about this potential interaction if you think you are having problems.

This interaction is well-documented and is considered minor in severity.
