Known interactions between the following drugs: Dialume, Levaquin

1 interaction was found for the drugs you selected.

ALUMINUM HYDROXIDE in Dialume may interact with LEVOFLOXACIN in Levaquin
Antacids that contain aluminum may decrease the absorption of levofloxacin by the body. Potentially, less levofloxacin would be available for the body to use and levofloxacin could be less effective at fighting an infection. If possible, antacids that contain aluminum should be avoided while levofloxacin is taken. If levofloxacin and an antacid that contains aluminum must be taken together, the antacid should be taken at least 6 hours before or at least 2 hours after levofloxacin. Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems.

This interaction is well-documented and is considered moderate in severity.
