BENZPHETAMINE in Didrex may interact with
PHENELZINE in Nardil
Although the exact causes of this potential interaction are not understood completely, phenelzine may increase the effects of benzphetamine. In addition, the risk of side effects such as confusion and headaches may also increase. Potentially life-threatening high blood pressure may occur, as well. Phenelzine and benzphetamine should never be taken at the same time. Because phenelzine is known to stay in the body for long periods of time, you should wait at least 2 weeks after stopping phenelzine before using benzphetamine.
Ask your healthcare provider about these drugs and this potential interaction as soon as possible.
