VORICONAZOLE in Vfend Injection may interact with DIHYDROERGOTAMINE MESYLATE in Dihydroergotamine Nasal Spray
Dihydroergotamine is broken down in the body by the liver. Voriconazole may prevent the breakdown of dihydroergotamine by the liver causing blood levels of dihydroergotamine to be elevated. This may cause increased side effects from dihydroergotamine such as redness of the arms and legs. If this occurs, contact your doctor. Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems.
This interaction is poorly documented and is considered major in severity.
