PHENYTOIN in Dilantin Infatab may interact with LEVOTHYROXINE in Levothyroxine

Although the cause of this potential interaction is not clearly understood, phenytoin may decrease the effectiveness of levothyroxine. Based on information from two case reports, the severity of this interaction appears to be influenced by the status of the individual's thyroid function. More clinical studies are needed to determine the safety of taking phenytoin and levothyroxine at the same time.
