Rhamnus frangula in Alder Buckthorn may interact with
DEXAMETHASONE in Maxidex
Potentially, taking Rhamnus frangula and an oral corticosteroid such as betamethasone at the same time could reduce potassium levels in the body. Low potassium levels, also called hypokalemia, may result in symptoms such as depression, low blood pressure, nausea, stomach cramps, or thirst. More serious symptoms of hypokalemia may include changes in heart rhythm, hallucinations, and muscle weakness. Oral corticosteroids such as betamethasone and Rhamnus frangula should not be taken together.
