Known interactions between the following drugs: Gabapentin, Ginkgo Biloba

1 interaction was found for the drugs you selected.

Ginkgo Biloba in Ginkgo Biloba may interact with GABAPENTIN in Gabapentin
Ginkgo contains chemicals that may cause seizures. The potentially harmful chemicals are most concentrated in ginkgo seeds; therefore, gingko seeds should never be consumed. However, reports of seizures have been associated with taking products made from ginkgo leaf, as well. If ginkgo is used at the same time as gabapentin, a drug frequently used to control seizures, the drug may not work as well as expected, and seizures may occur. Ginkgo should not be used while gabapentin is taken. Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems.

This interaction is well-documented and is considered moderate in severity.
