2 interactions were found for the drugs you selected.
ALUMINUM HYDROXIDE in Aluminum and Magnesium Hydroxide Oral Suspension may interact with DEXAMETHASONE in Maxidex
Although the cause of this potential interaction is not known, antacids that contain aluminum may decrease the effects of oral dexamethasone. If oral dexamethasone and an antacid that contains aluminum must be taken at the same time, response to oral dexamethasone may need to be monitored more closely. If the effects of oral dexamethasone decrease, another type of acid-reducing drug may need to be used in place of the antacid that contains aluminum.
You may want to ask your healthcare provider about this potential interaction if you think you are having problems.
This interaction is poorly documented and is considered moderate in severity.
MAGNESIUM HYDROXIDE in Aluminum and Magnesium Hydroxide Oral Suspension may interact with DEXAMETHASONE in Maxidex
Although the cause of this potential interaction is not known, antacids containing magnesium may decrease the effects of oral dexamethasone. If oral dexamethasone and antacids that contain magnesium must be taken at the same time, your doctor may want to monitor your response to oral dexamethasone more closely. If the effects of oral dexamethasone decrease, it may be necessary to stop the antacid and use another type of acid-reducing drug.
You may want to ask your healthcare provider about this potential interaction if you think you are having problems.
This interaction is poorly documented and is considered minor in severity.
