Tryptophan in L-tryptophan may interact with PERPHENAZINE in Trilafon Injection
Currently, tryptophan is not recommended for use as a dietary supplement. Additionally, if tryptophan is taken with perphenazine, which belongs to a drug class known as phenothiazines, symptoms that resemble Parkinson's disease may result. Parkinson's-like symptoms may include trembling, muscle stiffness, and the inability to move quickly. Tryptophan should not be taken - especially when perphenazine is being taken. Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems.

This interaction is poorly documented and is considered moderate in severity.
