Known interactions between the following drugs: Caduet, Tacrolimus
1 interaction was found for the drugs you selected.
ATORVASTATIN CALCIUM in Caduet
may interact with TACROLIMUS in Tacrolimus
Tacrolimus may block the breakdown of atorvastatin by the liver. If this happens, blood levels of atorvastatin could be increased and this could cause an increase in side effects such as unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness. The use of tacrolimus and atorvastatin together should be avoided. Fluvastatin (Lescol) or pravastatin (Pravachol) are safer alternatives to use with tacrolimus. Discuss this potential interaction with your healthcare provider at your next appointment, or sooner if you think you are having problems.
This interaction is poorly documented and is considered major in severity.
